CONTACT HANNAH

Arts Therapists are state registered professionals and their practice is monitored and regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council of Great Britain (HCPC). It is a legal requirement that all practising Arts Therapists are registered with the HCPC in order to practice anywhere in the UK as an Arts Therapist or Arts Psychotherapist.

Hannah is a Co-Director of The Arts Barge Project and is responsible for development of The Arts Barge CAT (Creative Arts Therapies).

She is a fully qualified Art Psychotherapist and Trauma Focussed CBT Practitioner (CATT). She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council of Great Britain (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). Her professional registration ensures working according to the code of conduct and principles of practice outlined by BAAT.

After qualifying as an Art Therapist in 2007, Hannah worked in East Riding TaMHS (Targeted Mental Health in Schools), in Core CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health) in Hull and East Riding, and as a freelance practitioner in Primary and Secondary schools. She also has experience of working in a specialist CAMHS sexual abuse project and in a Bradford Adult Primary Care Service with adults who have mild to moderate mental health issues.

Hannah achieved a BA (Hons) in Fine Art in 1988 and has experience in welded steel work and later, landscape painting in oils (for further info see Hannah’s website).
